EagleStudio - Terms of Use and Consent Agreement

EagleStudio is a service operated by EagleScope, Inc. (“EagleScope,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) that converts published medical research papers into short-form video summaries. These videos use AI-generated voice narration and AI-generated avatar presentations based on materials you provide.

By submitting a video request through EagleStudio, you (“Presenter,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following terms.

2.1 Voice Cloning

You consent to EagleScope creating an AI-generated clone of your voice based on audio samples you provide. This voice clone will be used solely for the purpose of narrating EagleStudio video summaries associated with your submitted research papers or papers you are authorized to present.

2.2 Image and Likeness

You consent to EagleScope using photographs or video recordings of you to create an AI-generated avatar (“talking photo”) for use in EagleStudio video summaries. This avatar will depict your likeness in a professional presentation context.

2.3 Scope of Use

Your voice clone and avatar likeness may be used in the following contexts:

• EagleStudio video summaries published on the EagleScope platform
• Distribution on social media platforms (including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X/Twitter)
• Conference presentations and grand rounds materials (when the landscape video variant is ordered)
• Author landing pages on the EagleScope platform
• Promotional materials for the EagleScope platform featuring your video as an example (only with separate written approval)

2.4 Sponsoring Organizations

If a third party (such as a pharmaceutical company, medical device manufacturer, medical society, university, or communications agency) has commissioned or funded the creation of your video, you consent to that sponsoring organization using the video in accordance with Section 2.3 above. The identity of the sponsoring organization, if any, will be disclosed to you before video production begins.

3.1 Identity

You are the person depicted in the photograph(s) and/or audio sample(s) you provide, or you have obtained explicit written permission from the depicted/recorded individual to submit these materials on their behalf.

3.2 Authority

You have the legal authority to grant the consents described in Section 2. If you are submitting on behalf of an institution, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

3.3 Research Paper Rights

You have the right to present the submitted research paper in video format. This means one or more of the following is true:

• You are an author of the paper
• The paper is published under an open-access license that permits derivative works (e.g., Creative Commons CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, CC-BY-NC)
• You have obtained permission from the copyright holder (publisher or author) to create a video summary
• The use falls within fair use or fair dealing provisions in your jurisdiction

3.4 Accuracy

You will not knowingly submit materials that misrepresent your identity, credentials, institutional affiliation, or relationship to the research paper.

3.5 Professional Context

You understand that the AI-generated avatar and voice clone will present you in a professional medical/scientific context, and you accept that AI generation may produce minor imperfections in speech, appearance, or lip synchronization.

All EagleStudio videos are created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. Specifically:

• Voice narration is generated using AI voice synthesis (ElevenLabs) based on your voice samples
• Avatar presentation is generated using AI video synthesis (HeyGen) based on your photographs
• Script content is generated using AI language models (Claude by Anthropic) based on the submitted research paper, then reviewed for accuracy
• Data visualizations are generated programmatically based on data extracted from the submitted paper

Every video includes a visible disclaimer stating: “Video created with the assistance of AI.”

You acknowledge and accept the use of these AI technologies in producing your video.

5.1 Review Opportunity

You will have the opportunity to review your video before it is published. You may request revisions to correct factual errors, misrepresentations, or objectionable content.

5.2 No Fabrication Guarantee

While EagleScope takes measures to prevent AI-generated content from fabricating or misrepresenting data, AI systems may occasionally produce inaccurate outputs. You are responsible for reviewing the final video for accuracy. EagleScope is not liable for errors that pass through your review.

6.1 Materials Stored

EagleScope stores the following materials for the purpose of producing and distributing your videos:

• Photographs you provide (for avatar generation)
• Audio samples you provide (for voice cloning)
• The AI-generated voice clone model
• The research paper PDF you submit
• The resulting video files

6.2 Retention

Your materials are retained for as long as your videos remain published on the EagleScope platform, plus a reasonable period for backup and archival purposes. If you request deletion under Section 7, your materials will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6.3 Security

EagleScope implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your materials from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

7.1 Right to Revoke

You may revoke your consent at any time by contacting EagleScope at support@eaglescope.ai. Upon revocation:

• Your video(s) will be removed from the EagleScope platform within 14 business days
• We will make reasonable efforts to remove the video from third-party platforms where we posted it
• We cannot guarantee removal from platforms where third parties may have independently shared or downloaded the video
• Your voice clone model and avatar materials will be deleted within 30 days

7.2 Sponsoring Organization Videos

If a sponsoring organization has commissioned your video, revocation may be subject to the terms of your agreement with that organization. EagleScope will notify the sponsoring organization of your revocation request.

EagleScope provides EagleStudio on an “as-is” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• EagleScope is not liable for any unauthorized use of your video by third parties who obtained it through legitimate distribution channels
• EagleScope is not liable for minor imperfections in AI-generated voice or avatar presentations
• EagleScope’s total liability for any claim arising from this agreement shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific video in question

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

EagleScope may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you via the email address associated with your EagleScope account. Continued use of EagleStudio after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
